Scottish Football Museum, Hampden Park

The Scottish Football Museum is one of Glasgow's leading visitor attractions,
and is the place to go to find out all about the history of Scottish Football.
It is located inside Scotland's National Football Stadium, Hampden Park. The
Museum has one of the most impressive collections of football memorabilia in
the world, displaying over 2000 objects.
The world’s oldest football letter can be viewed - outlining the first challenge
match in Scotland when Queen’s Park FC wrote to Glasgow Thistle FC inviting them
to play a challenge match in 1868. The Football Museum displays the world’s
oldest cap and match ticket, from the first international match of 1872.
The world’s oldest national trophy is also on display - the Scottish Football
Association Challenge Cup, made in 1873. The competition had 16 teams and was
won by Queen’s Park FC, who still play in Glasgow's Hampden Park Stadium. Today
the winning team is presented with the original trophy, but take home an exact
replica.
